Jacques Touchon

Professor Jacques Touchon is an eminent figure in the field of neurology, recognized for his major contributions to research on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease. He holds a doctorate in medicine obtained in 1979 from the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier and specialized in neurology in 1992.
He held the position of Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier from 1990 and served as its Dean from 2000 to 2010. Concurrently, he headed the Neurology Department at the Montpellier University Hospital from 2004 to 2014.
Professor Touchon also founded and chaired the National Reference Center for Young Alzheimer's Patients (CNRMAJ). He is co-founder and co-chair of the Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease (CTAD) conference and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer's Disease (JPAD).
His exceptional contributions to medical research have been recognized with several distinctions, including the Academic Palms in 1999, the Pinel Prize in 2000, and the Legion of Honor in 2007.
